The Technological Center for Dairy Products and Food Technologies (APLTA) is a Mixed Technological Platform of the Network of Infrastructures to Support Research and Technological Development (RIAIDT) belonging to the University of Santiago de Compostela. Our main activity is based on innovation, research and development of dairy products and other foods, complemented by services such as training, technical assistance to companies or food analysis. To carry out our work we have a highly qualified and multidisciplinary team: PhD., agricultural engineers, veterinary graduates and chemistry graduates, as well as food science and technology. In our new location we have one of the most complete pilot plants for the dairy and food industry in Europe, equipped with technical facilities and means that allow us to reproduce the most representative industrial processes of these industries.
